it's been a little too long... to say the least. life is insanely busy, but i've got a few pictures. they don't really do justice to the beauty of the area, but it's a try. eventually i'll have more pictures up here, maybe even some underwater shots if i can get something besides the rock the fish just swam over.  boiling pots, where the wailuku river goes through an old lava tube and comes up at the other end.  a frog... either a coqui or a greenhouse frog. they're so small but so loud!  a green sea turtle in hilo bay just after a 6.0 earthquake in october last year  the first knitting project i finished in hawaii. there have been a couple others, but i don't have pictures to upload yet.  kaumana cave, a collapsed lava tube up the hill from hilo town. i didn't get too far into it because my blown knee was giving me troubles. this picture is actually from last summer.
